A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR JOHN & PAT POPPE

Hello Redeemer! Greetings from us here in Minnesota.

September 16th, 2021 was the 20th anniversary of Ben Borchardt beginning the media ministry for Redeemer!

It was the first Sunday after the 9/11 attacks on America. We met with the Borchardt family the week before to be introduced to this amazing addition to our worship service which became the first media presentation in the Green Bay LCMS circuit!  Following those terrible attacks, Ben’s first presentation was filled with much patriotism and hope and faith to recover as a nation.

What a tremendous asset the media has evolved into at Redeemer through the years. Thank you, Ben, for your years of service and continual upgrading!  And thank you to the other tech people for their service also.

Continued blessings,

Pastor John & Pat Poppe

ADULT CHOIR & HANDBELLS

The Redeemer Adult Choir and Handbell Choir are preparing to praise the Lord in music and song again this fall and winter. For the next two months, both groups will rehearse every other Monday on September 13, September 27, October 11 and October 25.

Handbell ringers will rehearse from 6:00 - 6:55pm. The Adult Choir will rehearse from 7:00 - 7:45pm.

The choir welcomes any high school or adult members who enjoy singing four-part harmony. Substitute handbell ringers would be welcomed as needed - musical knowledge and rhythm is a definite plus! These two groups generally sing/ring during scheduled Sunday worship services and church festivals.

Come join us and use your musical talent to God's glory!

TELE-HEALTH CHRISTIAN COUNSELING SERVICES

Did you know that the counselors of Lutheran Counseling and Family Services of Wisconsin are available for virtual counseling sessions?

For those struggling with any mental health issue such as depression, anxiety, trauma, an addiction or relationship issues, professional help is just a phone call away.

Through faith-based Christian counseling, there is an opportunity to model Christian faith and share the promises of the Gospel while utilizing clinical expertise and skill. Speaking with a counselor can help reduce anxiety, monitor depression, control addictive behavior, identify triggers and create solutions to instill hope and faith.

Most insurance plans accept tele-health/virtual counseling as a viable option to conduct therapy. Check with your plan in advance to see if this is covered or the staff at LCFS can assist you.

Call 800-291-4513 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

More information may be found at their website.

AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER

The ADRC is starting our Three-Year Aging Plan. We have created a survey to get the community's thoughts and ideas on how we are doing, what we could do more of and do better, and what future programs and services should look like for the next generation.

We hope to gather as much data as we can from any and all community members. The online survey can be found at this link.

Please let Janelle Walton know if you would like a paper copy of the survey.

CARDS ARE AVAILABLE

Cards are available in the card shop off of the narthex, priced at 50¢ per card. There are Confirmation cards, birthday cards, sympathy cards, anniversary cards, etc…
