Trinity Lutheran School's Operation Christmas Child was a huge success this year!

The school kids themselves filled 374 boxes, which was very close to our goal of 400. But with the help of Angels of Hope Preschool, Faith Christian Preschool, and Redeemer Lutheran Church, Trinity was able to send off a total of 423 boxes which exceeded our goal. Wow! That is amazing!

A BIG THANKS to all of the kids, volunteers, and families that donated money, items, and/or your time for this chapel mission. It is very much appreciated.

The Higher Things conference will be held July 18-21 in Carbondale, Illinois!

The conference is open to all ages, but you must be at least 11 years old at the time of the conference to attend without a parent. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about your faith, make friends with other Christians, have fun and, of course, receive God's blessings through His Word and Sacraments!

The theme of the conference is - Beyond Reasonable Doubt.

Have you ever struggled with doubts in your faith? What if all this isn't real? How could a flood cover the whole earth? Doesn't science disprove the faith? How do you know your religion is the correct one?

Check out the Higher Things website for more information.

Contact our DCE, Alex, if you are interested in attending:

We recently received word from Mr. Robert Laird of his resignation at the end of the 2022-23 school year. He has been accepted to the Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis and will begin his Pastoral Education in the fall of 2023. He and his family will be moving this summer. We praise God for his short but meaningful ministry at Lutheran High.

Due to the timing of Mr. Laird's announcement, the Board of Directors quickly established a Call Committee to search for his replacement. The Call Committee submitted Mr. Daniel Forsheim of Shawano, Wisconsin, for the Board's consideration and he was unanimously approved as the candidate to receive a Divine Call to serve at Lutheran High.

After prayerful consideration with his wife, and a day to visit the school, Mr. Fosheim has notified both St. James Lutheran Church and School in Shawano (where he currently serves) and NEWLHS of his decision to accept the Call to Lutheran High.

We praise and thank God for both Mr. Laird and Mr. Fosheim and their families and we look forward to Mr. Fosheim joining the staff at Lutheran High to begin the 2023-24 school year. To God be the glory!

Please join us in prayer as we lift up our friends in Christ at St. James as they seek a new teacher for their middle school and for the Laird family as they prepare for their transition to St. Louis.

Chris Nelson - Executive Director

The Chili Challenge of the Churches is early this year - Friday, December 9!

NEW Lutheran is looking for a chili from each of the member churches or even from the schools! They are looking for anyone interested in entering their prize winning chili recipe into this fun event! If the recipe is beef based, then ground beef/hamburger will be donated again this year.

If you would like to represent Redeemer with your chili recipe, please let Cathy or Pastor Pett know!

Schroeder's Flowers informed us that as of November 14 the price of flowers will be going from $30 to $50 a week due to supply chain issues and the increased cost of flowers.

They have also asked that we place our orders for an entire month rather than weekly. The flower order for December will be placed on November 28. This is being done so they can schedule their drivers for continued free delivery. Our deliveries are received on Wednesdays by noon.

If you have a date in mind that you want to sponsor flowers, please put it on the schedule early the month before.

We are looking for additional members to host the coffee bar. Any member can host!

You can have multiple members, family, individual, etc. The purpose of the coffee bar is to have a light snack and gather after Worship for fellowship. Please note that this does not have to be a full buffet. A simple plate of cookies or snacks will do.

Coffee, cups, plates, and napkins are provided by Redeemer. If you are interested, please sign up for a date.

Coffee Bar sign up is located by the mailboxes in the Narthex.

We are in need of additional people to serve on this committee. Women or men are welcome. Duties of the altar guild involve setting up and taking down of communion once a month.

Hello! I am involved with a charity group of crocheters called the HOLY HELPERS. We meet the 2nd and 4th Sunday at the ignite outbuilding at First United Methodist Church. We crochet hats, mittens, scarves, blankets and tons of other items to donate to our community. We are a small but busy and productive group, and would love to grow.

Don’t know how to crochet? No problem, I have learned that I’m a pretty good teacher. Anyone interested can contact Dawn Auterman via phone or text at 414-267-7320.

Scrip will next be available on these dates before and after services:

Sunday, December 11 and Wednesday, December 14

Those who want to special order any cards or certificates for Christmas gift-giving (those we don't normally stock in inventory), please stop in the library and check over the lists we order from or click the button below. The lists will stay on the table for the next month. Just write your 'special order' on the notebook paper, with your name beside it. Last order in time for Christmas will be placed in less than 1 month, on Sunday, November 20 (the Sunday before Thanksgiving). You can pay for the special orders later, when you pick them up. Scrip is a great way to purchase any gift cards you will be buying for Christmas!

THANK YOU to all the members who have used the SCRIP Program at Redeemer to generate the additional funds needed for the many, many projects and missions that the program has supported over the past 28 years!

Stop in the Bookstore to find out more and how you can participate.
